AR and AI solutions provider ThirdEye has announced a Contract Award from the US Navy to use its advanced AR technology to improve and streamline maintenance aviation activities for not only the US Navy but for Marines in the US and overseas.
Part of this deployment will see the US Navy use ThirdEye’s various smart glasses and software to enhance training and reduce machine downtime.
Nick Cherukuri, ThirdEye’s CEO commented, “ThirdEye was founded on the belief that mixed reality and AI solutions could revolutionise our lives, from the way we work and consume news to how we defend our freedom and advance the cause for a more peaceful world.”
Leveraging the power of AI and AR
The partnership will also see ThirdEye deploy custom AR software applications, with the company’s smart glasses being among the few all-in-one US-developed technologies that have already been validated by the US Government with existing contracts with the Department of Defense.
ThirdEye’s technology leverages AI predictive analysis to display pertinent AR information across a range of environments. This allows the AR/AI software platforms to enable up to 40% operating efficiency.
Also, the environmental benefits could potentially eliminate millions of carbon emissions through lessened travel, the use of holograms and AI software.
“We take pride in supporting the men and women in uniform both domestically and internationally, and we hope to continue delivering innovative technologies for many years to come,” said Cherukuri.
And for the Navy project, the company will use custom Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) as well as Common Access Card (CAC) reader technology for two-factor authentication.
