An announcement trailer shows off a few Pixelated versions of the famed chef. One avatar sports devil horns, while another boasts angel wings. Of course, there are less fantastical avatar options as well. The Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen Avatar trailer also gives a small glimpse into the culinary adventure the Sandbox promises. It shows various avatars cooking in a kitchen under the watchful eye of a Gordon Ramsay avatar. In an added bit of flair, the kitchen seems to have a fiery aesthetic, clearly a nod to Ramsay’s cooking competition show, Hell’s Kitchen.
This Isn’t Gordon Ramsay’s First Foray Into the Sandbox
The Famous chef has partnered with the Sandbox before. In August of last year, he stated that Hell’s Kitchen and a Gordon Ramsay avatar were coming to the metaverse platform.
“There’s nothing more exciting to me than chartering new territory, whether that’s creating a signature dish, a new restaurant concept, a new show, or now a virtual experience in The Sandbox,” said Gordon Ramsay last summer. “I’ve been fascinated by The Sandbox and its offering in the metaverse. I couldn’t think of a better platform to bring the high energy of my Hell’s Kitchen restaurant and brand.”
Ramsay is hardly the only celebrity to team up with the Sandbox. Snoop Dog launched the first music video in the Sandbox last year. Similarly, this year, Paris Hilton celebrated Valentine’s Day within the metaverse platform.
